NO ONE GET ANYTHING BEFORE TIME & MORE THAN HIS FORTUNE

Once there lived a poor man in a village. He was so poor that he could barely feed his family only once a day. He was leading a miserable life. But he never complained to God. He was always
thankful to God for what he had. He was a great devotee. He went to the temple every day to offer prayers. He used to go around the temple seven times. Then only he used to go to work.
One day God felt sorry for the poor condition of his devotee. So, he kept a bag full of gold coins for him outside the temple. Next morning, the devotee went to the temple. He went around the temple with his eyes closed and chanting God's name. So he never saw the bag of gold coins. Seeing this God thought, "No one gets anything before time or more than his fortune."
Moral: No one gets anything before time or more than his fortune.

The ship moved from side to side. After a few hours, the storm stopped but the ship had a hole in its bottom.

            THE ELEPHANT'S TRUNK

Long, long ago the elephants had a small trunk. It was not as long as it is now. One day an elephant went to the river bank. He saw a crocodile there. The elephant teased the crocodile saying, "Hey, you crawling creatures. I don't understand why you have such a long body."The crocodile felt insulted at his words and lost his temper. So he said, "Oh ! I must show you the use of my body."
Saying so the crocodile immediately caught the elephant's trunk in his mouth. The elephant cried in pain. Hearing his cries, the other animals like giraffe, jackal and horse came to his help. They pulled the elephant by his tail. This pulling from the front and behind caused the trunk to be stretched. This is how the elephant's trunk grew so long.

               THE GREEN EARTH

The beautiful green earth was created by God. There were many green fields full of grass and trees. Then God created birds and animals to live in the meadows and the fields. And finally, He
created man to take care of all his beautiful creations. This was the best creation.
But at the same time, he warned the man, "You must keep the earth green and as beautiful as I have made it. Do not commit any sin. Or else earth will lose all its beauty."
Then a man came to earth. Soon he forgot God's warning. He started committing sins like stealing, lying and killing others. So, the earth lost its beauty and started turning into a desert. The man felt sorry for his deed. Then God forgave him. That is why we have some greenery still left on the earth.

Moral: Earth does not belong to man, Man belongs to the Earth.

          THE INTELLIGENT DONKEY

Once a donkey was grazing in the forest. He was lost in eating sweet green grass. He was spotted by a fierce lion. The donkey got scared as the lion approached him. The sight of the lion's large mane and sharp claws were terrifying.
But the donkey was very clever. He said, "Your Majesty! It's a pleasure to see you. I would feel honoured to serve myself as your dinner. ButI should tell you about the proper way of eating a donkey. It is commonly said that one must start eating from the hind legs. It tastes the best."
The lion believed him and went behind him. The donkey kicked the lion hard on his face. As such, the lion felled down into a bush. By the time he could get up, the donkey ran far away.
Moral: Wise is more powerful than the power.

One day a hungry mouse found a nut. He tried to bite it but its core was very hard. The mouse tiny teeth could not cut into it. He was irritated and said, "Oh Lord! Why did you give me such tiny teeth! I have food but I cannot eat."
God heard his voice and came down, "Dear Mouse, go and look at the teeth of other animals. Whomsoever's teeth you like will be given to you." So, the mouse went in search of different animals. He looked at the teeth of many animals Finally, he saw the teeth of an elephant. He was very much impressed by the long, white teeth of the elephant.
He asked the elephant, "Are you happy with your teeth?"
At this, the elephant said, "Oh ! My dear friend, my teeth are just for show. I cannot use them for chewing. I simply have to bear the heavy weight of my teeth." On hearing this the mouse thanked God for giving him smaller teeth.

            SONU - THE COWARD

Sonu was a coward. He used to get scared even at the smallest sound. One day the royal messenger announced in the village, "The king has asked every young man of the kingdom to join the royal army. Everybody must follow his order."
Sonu was forced to follow the royal order. So he left for the city to join the royal army. On the way, he had to pass through a forest. He saw a large, tall tree. Many crows were sitting on it and making a lot of noise. Sonu got scared hearing the loud noise of the crows. He got so scared that he could not move forward.
Sonu was such a coward that he thought that the crows would kill him. He shivered in fright and shouted, "Go on, make as much noise as you can. But I know you cannot kill me!" He was actually unfit to join the royal army. One should not be forced to do a task, he is not fit for.

                           CLEVERNESS

Once a wolf was hungry. He was roaming here and there in the forest in search of food. Soon he reached near a stream. As the wolf was walking around, he heard a lamb's bleating. The wolf's heart was filled with joy thinking that he might get the lamb for lunch.
Soon he saw the lamb grazing on a small sloping hill. The wolf tried to climb up but he could not and slipped. Then he thought of a plan in his mind and said, "Dear little lamb, come down here to the meadow. There is plenty of green grass for you to graze. You can also drink the sweet cool water from the stream."
But the lamb was clever enough to understand the wolf's cunningness. He said,"No, thank you, Mr. Wolf. I have enough grass for myself on the hill." Hence, the wolfs plan failed. It is well said that cleverness is mightier than cunningness.
