THE THREE QUESTIONS

King Mansingh always posed puzzles in the court. Anyone who could not answer them was punished. Once a man came to the royal court and challenged him, "If you don't answer my three questions correctly, you have to give up the throne." King Mansingh agreed. The man asked three questions, "Who runs faster than the wind? Who helps in trouble? Which is the sweetest thing in the world?"
The king thought a lot. But he could not answer the questions. Now the king feared to lose his throne. The man said, "Promise me never to pose questions to the people and I'll leave your throne." The king promised to do so and asked the answers. The man said, "A heart's wishes are faster than the wind."
Support helps a man in trouble and polite words are the sweetest in the world." Then the man went away.

THE WRESTLER TORTOISE

Once a tortoise wanted to learn wrestling. The rabbit was an expert wrestler. The tortoise went to learn wrestling. Very soon the tortoise learnt the art of wrestling. One day, a deer started teasing him. The tortoise lost his temper. Soon they had a physical fight. The wrestler tortoise defeated the deer. The deer got severely injured. On hearing about the incident, all the other animals started fearing the tortoise.
Now the tortoise grew more proud of his strength. He started troubling and teasing innocent animals. One day, he started teasing the rabbit and challenged him to wrestle with him.
He had forgotten that the rabbit was his teacher. Soon the rabbit defeated the tortoise and threw him on the ground. Now all the animals started teasing the tortoise. We all should remember that pride always has a fall.

THE BIGGER FOOL

One day Seth Ramlal went to the city. He saw a  real diamond in a jewellery shop. He went inside the shop and asked the shopkeeper, "What is the cost of this diamond?" "Two thousand rupees," the shopkeeper replied. Ramlal was a miser. He said, "I'll pay only one thousand rupees for this diamond." But the shopkeeper refused to sell the diamond for one thousand rupees.
Ramlal thought, "I'll again come in the evening. Maybe he'll give it to me then for one thousand rupees only." In the evening, Ramlal again went to the shopkeeper and said, "Will you give me the diamond for a thousand rupees?" 'No, I am sorry. I've already sold it for five thousand rupees," the shopkeeper said. "You are a fool. That diamond was worth fifty thousand! Sir, why didn't you buy it for two thousand in the morning? You are a bigger fool than me.

KANHA'S WIFE

Kanha was a poor man still, he used to invite people to his house. One day he invited three of his friends for lunch. But there was nothing in the house to cook. So, Kanha went out to arrange for food. He was out when his friends reached his house. Kanha's wife welcomed them. They saw a grinding stone in his house with a floral necklace placed on it. When they enquired about that, Kanha's wife said, "My husband worships it like a God. He offers him prayers by beating the guests with it."
They heard this and ran as fast as they could. On the way, Kanha saw them running. He asked his wife about what had happened. She said, "They were asking for the grinding stone. When I refused to give them, they went away in anger." Kanha picked it up and ran after them to give it to them. But his friends ran very fast and disappeared. From that day no one went to his house for lunch and his wife breathed a sigh of relief.

RAMU'S PLAN

Ramu was a poor farmer. One day he was going to the city to buy oxen. As he was passing through a forest, three dacoits blocked his way. They wanted to rob him. They took all his
money. Then they tried to kill him. But Ramu was clever. He made a plan in his mind and laughed aloud. He said, "Try your best, but you cannot kill me. An astrologer has told me that three blind men will kill me."
The dacoits were foolish. All the three dacoits covered their eyes with a cloth to kill him, pretending to be blind. Here Ramu's plan worked and he ran away. The dacoits realised this and chased him. Ramu led them to the main road where he saw a police jeep. He stopped the police and told them everything. So the police caught the dacoits and put them behind the bars. Ramu got his money back and a reward of ten thousand rupees. With that money, he bought a new oxeN, a new cart and a new hut.
